This Hickory Smoked Balsamic Vinegar is thick enough to be used as a finishing glaze.
Brush on grilled and broiled meats, and vegetables. Use it to season campfire or home baked beans, and anywhere where a sweet, thick and rich smoky flavor will enhance your dishes. For a marinade or vinaigrette, pair it with our Roasted Garlic, Chipotle and Hot Pepper olive oils.
How do I use the Hickory Smoked on a pork tenderloin? Do I just brush it on before I cook it? Do I add anything to it? Do I need to reduce it?
Depending on how you are going to cook it:
– No need to reduce – reduction has already been done on it unless you would like it to be even thicker then you could reduce it even more, I would and have added some honey during the additional reduction to add more flavor and help thicken it.
Oven – Marinade it a in a zip-lock bag – just use enough to coat the tenderloin plus a little extra – I would do this hours before you are going to bake it – then bake, when done slice and drizzle the Hickory Balsamic over the top – Serve and enjoy – you can even use it a dipping sauce..
Grill / Smoker – Marinade it a in a zip-lock bag – just use enough to coat the tenderloin plus a little extra – I would do this hours before you are going to grill it – Start basting towards the end as you would BBQ Sauce – Serve and enjoy – again you can use as a dipping sauce as well.
