
Balsamic Glazed Baked Apples
Ingredients
- 4 large baking apples (Honey Crisp or Fuji)
- 3 Tablespoons Softened butter
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup Olive Oil Cinnamon Pear Balsamic Vinegar - Purchase Here
- ¾ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F
- Wash and core the apples, leaving a bit of the core at the base of the apple to hold in the filling.
- Combine the softened butter, brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, cinnamon and chopped pecans in a small bowl.
- Carefully spoon the mixture into each apple core, pressing it in to fill each.
- Fill a baking dish with enough water to cover the bottom and place the apples upright in the dish.
- Bake the apples until soft and the filling is browned, about one hour.
- Serve warm alongside vanilla ice cream or smothered in whipped cream.
